GENERAL SCHEDULE

Open every Holiday and weekend (Saturday and Sunday) from 12:00pm (noon) until 5:00pm CDT starting on Memorial Day and ending on Labor Day.

Trains run Sundays only after Labor Day through October.

 

Ticket Fares

Admission to the museum grounds is free other than the annual Labor Day Weekend Steam & Power Show. Tickets prices are as follows:

Every passenger in a train needs a ticket. A multiple-ride ticket cannot be split between other people. Tickets are valid for any train but one ticket per ride is required. Prices are subject to change.

Civil War Train Raids

June 21st. & 22nd.
Secret plans have been uncovered by Union Army spies that the Confederate Army will raid trains. Union soldiers will defend. Also a living history encampment at the museum grounds.

Get on board for one of Indiana's top festivals! Education and entertainment are in store for the whole family as the many uses of turn-of-the-century steam power are demonstrated to the public. Old-time farm machinery, antique cars, and other machines are also on display. The museum also hosts a flea market, and traditional festival treats!.

Hesston Ghost Train

Last two weekends in October. (Sat. & Sunday)
Take a terror-ific ride through the haunted woods aboard the Flying Dutchman Railroad. This is a trip that you won’t soon forget as your train is haunted by many ghoulish creatures. Watch out for the Mad Lumber-Jack that haunts these woods! The Ghost Train is frightening fun for everyone! (Appropriate for small children.)

Candy Cane Express

First two weekends in December (Sat. & Sunday) Visit with Santa in his caboose and take a cozy winter train ride inside our first-class enclosed coach. Bring a new unwrapped toy for the U.S. Marine Corps. Toys for Tots toy drive and receive one free train ride!
