GENERAL SCHEDULE

Open every Holiday and weekend (Saturday and Sunday) starting on Memorial Day weekend and ending on Labor Day weekend. Museum Grounds open at 11:30am CDT. Trains start running at 12:00pm (noon) until 5:00pm CDT

  The Hesston Steam Museum is on CENTRAL TIME 

Trains run Sundays only after Labor Day through October.

 

Ticket Fares

Admission and parking are FREE*
*$5 adult admission at the Labor Day Weekend Steam & Power Show only.

*Every passenger on a train needs a ticket. A multiple-ride ticket cannot be split between other people. Tickets are valid for any train but one ticket per ride is required. Prices are subject to change.

Secret plans have been uncovered by Union Army spies that the Confederate Army will raid trains. Union soldiers will defend. Also a living history encampment at the museum grounds.

September 4, 5, 6 & Monday (Labor Day) September 7.

The show begins at 10:00 am and closes at 5:00 pm CDT

Get on board for one of Indiana's top festivals! Education and entertainment are in store for the whole family as the many uses of turn-of-the-century steam power are demonstrated to the public. Old-time farm machinery, antique cars, and other machines are also on display. The museum also hosts a flea market, and traditional festival treats!.  *There is an admission charge for the Steam and Power Show.

Hesston Ghost Train
To Be Announced
(normally the last two weekends in October)

Take a terror-ific ride through the haunted woods aboard the Flying Dutchman Railroad. This is a trip that you won’t soon forget as your train is haunted by many ghoulish creatures. Watch out for the Mad Lumber-Jack that haunts these woods! The Ghost Train is frightening fun for everyone! (Appropriate for small children.)

Candy Cane Express
December 5, 6, 12 & 13
(first two weekends in December)

Grab a cup of hot cocoa and visit Santa in the caboose. Then take a cozy winter train ride inside our first-class enclosed coach.
