Engineer David Coates (LaPorte, IN) waits for a green signal before bringing the
"Blue Goose" into the depot, on a Spring test run at the Hesston Steam Museum.
The coach behind the "Goose" is also from the Zoo. |

The Blue Goose (former Brookfield Zoo Railroad) poses with Hesston Steam Museums
largest locomotive, the number 7 Shay Logging Locomotive. Both slated to run
this Memorial Day weekend. |

Engineer Steve Brown (Michigan City IN) oils the Blue Goose as a German built
steam locomotive waits for passengers to board to go on a 2 and a half mile ride
through the Hesston Steam Museum's scenic property. |

The Blue Goose stands outside the Hesston shop, ready for visitors. |
|

Action at the Hesston Sawmill. A
steam traction engine powers the mill as the huge 92 ton steam crane waits to
lift another log on to the mill. |

George and Marilyn Rosenbaum, from
Wanatah IN, stand by their Baltimore and Ohio model steam engine. |

Passengers leave on their one mile
journey on Hesston’s little train railroad. While Ron Taylor from Sodas, MI
(right) waits for passengers to board his train. Ron built this small steam
train over a five year period in his home shop. |

The Hesston Saw Mill cuts logs for
museum project or for customers that bring in logos for project of their own.
But most of all for the delight of museum guests that love to see the old
fashioned mill cut boards. The mill swings a huge 60 inch saw blade! |
