HESSTON, IN – The Hesston Steam Museum has everything people associate with the July 4th weekend – a relaxing family picnic atmosphere plus entertainment with plenty of smoke, sounds and bright colors. Hesston hosts its ANNUAL GAS TRACTOR SHOW on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 4, 5, and 6. And instead of ear-splitting noises, visitors will hear log-splitting noises at Hesston’s steam-powered saw mill, which will run during the three-day weekend! Hesston’s Gift Shop will be open and visitors can buy refreshments or lunch on the grounds. Better still, there’s plenty of room for picnics! Museum Grounds open at 11:30 and trains run from noon to 5 p.m. CDT. NO admission and free parking! Train Ride Fares are $3.00 for children and $5.00 for adults. Each person in a group can purchase a four-ride ticket for just $10.00 for children and $17.00 for adults.
