HESSTON,
IN - Just like leaves changing color, the
HESSTON
STEAM
MUSEUM itself is
changing over for the fall! And there’s no more relaxed, enjoyable and
family-friendly place to be during October’s last two weekends: Oct. 22 & 23
and Oct. 29 & Oct. 30.
We have several special announcements related to these last two weekends!
THE HESSTON GHOST TRAIN: Take a
terror-ific ride through the haunted woods aboard the Flying Dutchman
Railroad. This is a trip visitors soon won’t forget … when the train is
haunted by many ghoulish creatures. The Hesston Ghost Train is frightening
fun for everyone (appropriate for small children)!
FALL FESTIVAL: Adults and kids alike will enjoy the fall colors on our three
real steam railroads that travel through the woods along the
Indiana/Michigan border. Hesston's Cider Shed offers fresh squeezed apple
cider. Hayride wagons also will carry visitors around the museum’s scenic
155-acre grounds.
SPECIAL ENGINES: KIDDIELAND
DOUBLE-HEADER
Perhaps for the last time,
Hesston
Steam
Museum will have two engines from
Chicago’s former
Kiddieland
Amusement Park – the
Kiddieland Limited and Kiddieland Express – working together to pull trains.
Hesston also will operate its other unique steam locomotives (three sizes!)
and turn-of-the-century steam-powered saw mill.
Admission and parking are FREE. Train fares are $5 for adults and $3.00 for
kids 12 and under. Trains run from 12 pm (noon) until 5 pm C.S.T.
