HESSTON STEAM MUSEUM'S
53rd LABOR DAY WEEKEND STEAM & POWER SHOW 
FAMILY FUN: SIMPLE & AFFORDABLE!
 
HESSTON, IND. - A 100-year-old steam-powered light plant. A "Blue Goose" steam 
engine that once pulled visitors around Chicago's Brookfield Zoo. 

Indiana, Illinois and Michigan residents can see machines from an earlier time - while 
making memories of a lifetime during the Hesston Steam Museum's 53rd ANNUAL 
LABOR DAY STEAM & POWER SHOW, from Sept. Friday, Sept. 4 through Monday, 
Sept. 7. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (C.S.T.)

If it steams . . . it will be running! Hesston will be literally "fired up" to operate...

... a 100-year-old steam-powered light plant for the LaPorte County (Ind.) courthouse
... the "Blue Goose" engine that once pulled visitors around Chicago's Brookfield Zoo.
... a turn-of-the-century sawmill with a 60" blade
... an exclusive 1929 narrow-gauge Shay logging locomotive
... lots of early 1900s steam tractors and even a steam-power popcorn machine!
 
Easily ranking among Indiana's Top 10 festivals, this four-day event will attract as may as 
12,000 visitors from nearby Chicago, Northern Indiana and Southwestern Michigan.

ADMISSION to the grounds is $5 for adults. Children 12 and under are free.
 
TRAIN FARES are $5 for adults and $3.00 for kids 12 and under. FRIDAY is Senior 
Day with half-price rides for all seniors!
